AJK College of Arts and Science Onam Celebrations "PARANNONAM 2k23


On August 25, 2023, the AJK College of Arts and Science Coimbatore (Autonomous) illuminated the stage with a spectacular Onam celebration. Guided by Principal Dr. S. Raju and Nursing College Principal Dr. Brindha V, the campus pulsated with the festive fervor of Onam.

The festivities commenced with an enthralling parade that captivated the entire school community. Kavadi bearers, chendamelam drummers, and lively band music were highlights of the procession. The grand Thiruvathira, masterfully performed by an astounding 200 participants, stood at the heart of the event. Alongside the iconic Mahabali and intricate, expansive pookkalam, traditional arts like Kathakali and Mohiniyattam infused the occasion with artistic elegance.

The students' exuberance was palpable as they danced, sang, and graced the stage. The fusion of violin and chenda produced captivating melodies. The festivities peaked during the sumptuous Onam sadya, a feast for the senses, served after the cultural spectacle.

AJK College's "PARANNONAM 2k23" wasn't just an event – it was a vibrant medley of traditions, innovation, and unity. The college once again demonstrated its A+ accredited status not merely in name, but in the dynamism it brings to life's celebrations.
